Quick Start

Everything you need to know to import and export product data. For detailed steps, see the individual Importing and Exporting guides.

Importing (Updating Products)

Upload a CSV or Excel file to update product data in Cloud MT.

  1. Name your import so you can find it later.
  2. Upload your file — CSV or Excel, max 4.2 MB.
  3. Map columns — Turbo MT auto-maps columns with matching names. Map the rest manually using dropdowns.
  4. Preview — Every row is validated against Cloud MT. Invalid rows are flagged and skipped.
  5. Import — Products are updated one at a time. You can pause and resume at any time.

Key Rules

  • Your file must have a Product ID or Lookup Code column — this is how rows are matched to products.
  • You can only update existing products, not create new ones.
  • Blank cells clear data. If you only want to update certain fields, exclude other columns from the mapping.
  • Collections replace entirely — only the collections in your file will remain on each product.

Download the import template from the Bulk Import & Export page. It includes dropdowns and validation to catch errors before uploading.

Exporting (Downloading Products)

Download your Cloud MT products as an Excel file.

  1. Filter products — Narrow down by name, active status, stock, brand, season, department, item group, or category. Save filter combinations as presets.
  2. Choose columns — Select which fields to include. Product ID and Lookup Code are always included.
  3. Export — Click Export, wait for processing, then download Turbo MT Product Export.xlsx.

Export Limits

  • With filters applied: max 50,000 matching products.
  • No filters (all products): no limit.

Tips

  • Export before importing — Keep a backup of current values before a bulk update.
  • Use an export as your import file — Column names already match Cloud MT fields.
  • Test with a small file — Try 5–10 products first to catch issues before a large import.
  • Check the Column Reference — Full list of available fields, data types, and validation rules.
