Quick Start
This guide covers everything you need to start using Product Activator. For detailed walkthroughs of each mode, see the individual guides.
Creating a Job
A job is a batch of products you want to work through together. Up to 100 products per job.
Name Your Job
Give it a descriptive name (e.g. “Regatta New Arrivals”). Max 50 characters.
Choose a Mode
| Mode | Best For |
|---|---|
| AI Activator | Guided step-by-step activation with AI doing the heavy lifting. Best for new products that need full setup. |
| AI Activator V3 | Batch processing with a kanban board. AI works in the background while you review. Best for large batches. |

The Three Modes at a Glance
AI Activator
A guided, linear workflow. You move through each step in order:
- Confirm URL — Verify the supplier product page (AI suggests the most likely URL)
- Colour Group — Review AI-detected colour variants and assign colours
- WebSIM Fetch — AI automatically fetches images and descriptions from the supplier site
- Organise Images — Drag and drop to reorder and assign images across colour group products
- Descriptions — Review AI-generated short and long descriptions
- Tech Spec — Review the technical specifications table
- Facets — Confirm department, item group, category, gender, age, colour, and other filters
- Product Names — Review AI-formatted names following Cloud MT conventions
- Preview — Final check before saving
- Save & Activate — Colour group is configured and all products are saved and activated
Saves happen at: image step completion and end of flow.
AI Activator V3
A kanban board with three columns: Pending, Review, and Complete.
- Products in Pending are picked up automatically — AI fetches data and processes them in the background.
- When ready, products move to Review where you check and confirm each section.
- Autopilot (optional) lets AI auto-confirm the URL and colour group when confidence is high.
The review steps are similar to AI Activator: URL, colour group, images, names, descriptions, tech spec, size guide, facets, and a final preview.
AI Editor
A tab-based interface where you can jump between sections in any order:
- Images — Upload, reorder, and manage product images
- Names — Edit product names with AI formatting
- Descriptions — Edit short and long descriptions with AI assistance
- Facets — Set department, item group, category, and other filters
- Tech Spec — Edit the technical specifications table
- Size Guide — Edit sizing information
- Colour Group — Detect and configure colour variants
- Other Info — Video URL, buyer’s guide, stock tracking, pre-launch settings
Tips
- Map brand websites first — Go to Settings & Tools > Brand Website Mapper to link brands to their official sites. This ensures AI-generated URLs come from the correct domain.
- Customise AI behaviour — Add custom instructions in Settings to control how AI formats names, writes descriptions, and assigns facets.
- Use the product navigation bar — When inside a job, the top bar shows all products. Click any product to jump to it. Use Alt+J to open the product list.
- Products without a brand are skipped — When importing lookup codes, products with no brand set in Cloud MT are automatically excluded.
