Quick Start

This guide covers everything you need to start using Product Activator. For detailed walkthroughs of each mode, see the individual guides.

Creating a Job

A job is a batch of products you want to work through together. Up to 100 products per job.

Give it a descriptive name (e.g. “Regatta New Arrivals”). Max 50 characters.

The Three Modes at a Glance

AI Activator

A guided, linear workflow. You move through each step in order:

  1. Confirm URL — Verify the supplier product page (AI suggests the most likely URL)
  2. Colour Group — Review AI-detected colour variants and assign colours
  3. WebSIM Fetch — AI automatically fetches images and descriptions from the supplier site
  4. Organise Images — Drag and drop to reorder and assign images across colour group products
  5. Descriptions — Review AI-generated short and long descriptions
  6. Tech Spec — Review the technical specifications table
  7. Facets — Confirm department, item group, category, gender, age, colour, and other filters
  8. Product Names — Review AI-formatted names following Cloud MT conventions
  9. Preview — Final check before saving
  10. Save & Activate — Colour group is configured and all products are saved and activated

Saves happen at: image step completion and end of flow.

AI Activator V3

A kanban board with three columns: Pending, Review, and Complete.

  • Products in Pending are picked up automatically — AI fetches data and processes them in the background.
  • When ready, products move to Review where you check and confirm each section.
  • Autopilot (optional) lets AI auto-confirm the URL and colour group when confidence is high.

The review steps are similar to AI Activator: URL, colour group, images, names, descriptions, tech spec, size guide, facets, and a final preview.

Tips

  • Map brand websites first — Go to Settings & Tools > Brand Website Mapper to link brands to their official sites. This ensures AI-generated URLs come from the correct domain.
  • Customise AI behaviour — Add custom instructions in Settings to control how AI formats names, writes descriptions, and assigns facets.
  • Use the product navigation bar — When inside a job, the top bar shows all products. Click any product to jump to it. Use Alt+J to open the product list.
  • Products without a brand are skipped — When importing lookup codes, products with no brand set in Cloud MT are automatically excluded.
